Vinton, Mayberry Top 2 Finishers In Supervisor Race

Carol Vinton (502 votes - 37.57%) and Lonnie Mayberry (490 votes - 36.68%) were the top two finishers for county supervisor in Tuesday's Republican Party Primary Election. Scott Burtch (231 - 17.29%) and Thomas Pina (111 - 8.31%) finished third and fourth respectively.

Two county supervisor seats are up for election this year so both Vinton and Mayberry advance to the November general election as Republican candidates. No Democrats were on the ballot for the position so Vinton and Mayberry are likely to be unopposed in November.

Mills County Sheriff Eugene Goos and Mills County Auditor Carol Robertson were both unopposed in the Republican primary and will likely be unopposed in the general election as no Democrats were on the primary ballot for either position.
