Restore the Prairie, Restore Yourself

Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation, Mills County Conservation and The Yoga Path are teaming up for a first ever prairie restoration event followed by a yoga relaxation and meditation. Participants will help remove autumn olive from the landscape, then have the option to partake in a yoga relaxation/ meditation near the work-site. You're invited to join us for one or both!

When:

Thursday, July 21

5:30 - 7:30 p.m.: Brush removal/ restoration
We'll remove autumn olive from the landscape. Please wear long pants, sturdy shoes, bring gloves (if able) and a re-fillable water bottle.

8:00 - 9:00 p.m.: Yoga relaxation and meditation
Please wear comfortable clothes. We'll likely be outside. Please bring a yoga mat and/or a towel.

Where:

Hahn Property, a 30-acre addition to Pony Creek Park. Hahn was sold to INHF by Allen & Margaret Hahn and will transfer to Mills County Conservation in the near future. Margaret taught yoga here in the woodland and prairie for many years, and it’s a beloved place to an active yoga community! So a workday with yoga is perfect. Please park at 56467 Deacon Rd. Pacific Junction, Iowa.

Details:

No experience necessary for either event! All equipment provided. All ages and abilities welcomed; we ALWAYS encourage volunteers to work at their own pace.

RSVP Preferred:
