Incidents
    May 17 – A vehicle driven by Loren Mayer of Malvern reported a burglary and theft.

Accidents
    May 19 – A vehicle driven by Michelle King of Emerson was backing out of the driveway on Third Street when the vehicle struck a legally parked vehicle owned by Helen Johnston. No injuries were reported.
    May 19 – A vehicle driven by Kathlein Bacon of Pacific Junction was eastbound on Lincoln Street in Pacific Junction, when the driver, who had a medical condition, went off the roadway and struck an embankment in a ditch. Bacon was transported to Jennie Edmundson Hospital. Her medical status was not known at press time.
    May 21 – A vehicle driven by Derek Miller of Glenwood was attempting to merge onto Highway 34 from Interstate 29 when Miller’s vehicle struck a second vehicle driven by Matthew Rumery of Glenwood. No injuries were reported.
    May 22 – A vehicle driven Allen Darnold of Malvern was eastbound on Gaston Avenue when the vehicle struck a semi-truck driven by Timothy Skalbert of Essex dumping gravel on the road. Darnold did not see the truck through the dust from the dumping gravel. No injuries were reported.
    May 22 – A vehicle driven by Marilyn Krisinger of Griswold was stopped to turn right off Highway 59 into Emerson Cemetery when a second vehicle, driven by Alexandra Sherman of Shenandoah, collided with the rear of Krisinger’s vehicle. After making contact, Sherman’s vehicle continued into the other lane forcing a third vehicle, driven by Dale Lauver of Council Bluffs to swerve and then make contact with Sherman’s vehicle. Lauver’s vehicle spun around and ended up northbound in the ditch. Sherman and a passenger in Krisinger’s vehicle were both transported to Omaha for medical treatment. The status of both was not known at press time.
