Virginia Rosalene “Ginger” (Goss) Messenger, 78, of Malvern, passed away Aug. 20, 2011, at the family cabin in Bellview, Colo. Funeral services were held Friday, Aug. 26, 2011, at the Hertz Funeral Home in Glenwood with interment in the Silver City Cemetery. Memorials suggested to Heartland Hospice or Silver City United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her children, Cindy Murphy of Harlan; Paul Messenger of Lanham, Md., and Becky Lichtenberg of Ida Grove; sister Ruth Lambertson of Harlan; brothers, LaVerne Goss of Council Bluffs and David Goss of Pewaukee, Wis.; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
