Lewis Central rallies to down Glenwood

Council Bluffs Lewis Central scored two second half goals to pull away from Glenwood in a 3-1 Hawkeye 10 Conference girls soccer victory at the Glenwood Athletic Complex Thursday evening.
Irelynn White led off the Titans with a goal in the ninth minute before Rams answered to knot the score on a goal by Jaylynn Floyd off a Faith Weber assist.
The score would remain tied at 1-1 into the second half.
Izzy McNeal and Maya Humlicek both added goals for the Titans (7-3) in the final 40 minutes to secure the victory.
The loss is the Rams’ fourth in a row.
“We definitely had some opportunities to even up the score,” said Glenwood coach Amy Benson. “The girls gave it their all and played hard. We will keep learning from our games to get us ready for the second half of our season.”
Audrey Nieman played in goal and had 10 saves for Glenwood (3-6).
