Phyllis E. Narron, 83, Glenwood

June 4, 1926 - April 26, 2010

    Phyllis E. Narron, 83, of Glenwood, entered into eternal rest on April 26, 2010, at Linnwood Estates in Glenwood.  Services will be held today, (Wednesday), at 2 p.m., at Peterson Mortuary in Glenwood. Pastor Darrell Hopp will officiate. Interment will be in the Glenwood Cemetery.

    She was born June 4, 1926, in Coin, to Marrel H. and Pearl K. (Trullinger) Snyder. She graduated from Shenandoah High School in 1944. She was united in marriage to Curtis Narron on Aug. 9, 1946, in Hiawatha, Kan. The couple were blessed with three children, Roger, Pat and Bill.

    Mrs. Narron was retired from the Glenwood Resource Center as a supervisor. She did extensive volunteer work for the Glenwood Senior Center and Mills County Historical Society where she received the Emeritus Honor Award. She received an award from the Governor of Iowa for all of her many years of volunteering. She attended the First Christian Church for many years. She enjoyed playing bingo and thoroughly enjoyed being a member of the Red Hat Club. Her family would like to personally thank the Linnwood Estate Staff and Hospice With Heart for all they did for her these past few months.

    Preceding her in death were her parents, Marrel and Pearl; husband, Curt; granddaughter, Dionne; brothers Robert and Lee Snyder. She is survived by her children, Roger Narron of Corona, Calif.; Pat and husband Gary Shepard; Bill and wife Rita Narron; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sister, Clara Myers all of Glenwood; brother, Alton and wife Shirley Snyder of Red Oak; several nieces, nephews, extended relatives and a host of friends.
