Omahans Face Sexual Abuse Charges In Mills County
Two Omaha men - D’Angelo Marquis Goods, 27, and David Hernandez, 20 - are facing sexual assault charges for an alleged incident that took place in Mills County in late June.
On June 29, the Mills County Communications Center received a call from the emergency room at CHI Mercy Hospital in Council Bluffs about a sexual assault that had taken place in Mills County. Arrest warrants from Goods and Hernandez were issued following an investigation by the Mills County Sheriff’s Office.
Goods was arrested on July 1 and charged with first-degree sexual abuse, a Class A felony, and willful injury, a Class C felony. He was being held in the Mills County Jail.
Hernandez turned himself in July 13 and was also charged with first-degree sexual abuse and willful injury.
A Class felony is punishable by life in prison without parole. A Class C felony is punishable by up to 10 years in prison and a fine of $1,000 - $10,000.
Goods entered a not guilty plea at a preliminary hearing Monday morning in Mills County District Court.
A preliminary hearing for Hernandez is scheduled for Thursday morning.
