Incidents
May 24 – David Fuller of Hastings reported a burglary.
May 26 – Merlin Tasto of Malvern reported a burglary.
May 29 – Kimberly Newton of Emerson reported a burglary.
June 2 – Julia Liddett of Glenwood reported a theft and burglary.
Accidents
May 27 – A vehicle driven by Travis Batten was eastbound on Ives Avenue when the driver lost control on a curve and entered the north ditch. The driver fled the scene. No injuries were reported.
May 29 – A vehicle driven by Jesse Bruce of Malvern was southbound on 284th Street when a deer ran into the road and collided with Bruce’s vehicle. No injuries were reported.
June 3 – A vehicle driven by Dennis James of Tabor was southbound on Highway 275 when the vehicle crossed the center line into the northbound lane, left the roadway where it struck an embankment and then a culvert at Quigg Avenue causing the vehicle to become airborne and roll into the east ditch. The driver was transported to the University of Nebraska Medical Center. His medical status was not known at press time.
June 5 – A vehicle driven by Lowell Taylor of Pacific Junction was eastbound on Highway 34 slowing to make a turn south onto 195th Street when a second eastbound vehicle driven by David Hammer of Red Oak collided with the rear of Taylor’s vehicle. No injuries were reported.
June 5 – A motorcycle driven by Richard Deboodt of Bellevue was northbound on 221st Street when the driver lost control in a curve and entered the east ditch and then went back over Elrod Avenue and into the ditch. The driver was taken to Jennie Edmundson Hospital. His medical status was not known at press time.
June 5 – A vehicle driven by Alexander Lange of Glenwood was southbound in a cul-de-sac on 243rd Street when the vehicle collided with a parked vehicle. The impact of the initial collision caused Lange’s vehicle to strike a third legally parked vehicle and then landscaping blocks in a yard. No injuries were reported.
June 7 – A motorcycle driven by Harry Mount of Glenwood was southbound on 230th Street when the driver lost control on loose gravel and the motorcycle fell over. The driver was transported to Nebraska Medical Center by Lifenet. Mount’s medical condition was not known at press time.
