Knights rumble through Villisca
The Fremont-Mills football team scored early, often and about every way possible in a 78-6 victory over Villisca on Friday.
The Knights (5-0 overall, 3-0 in Eight-man, District 1) got kick off and punt returns for touchdowns by Josh Larsen, a fumble return for a score by Seth Phillips, a pair of touchdown passes by A.J. Scarborough and rushing touchdowns by Nate Meier, Spencer Phillips, Gabe Scarborough and Clayton Wilson in the 72-point rout.
The 78 points are two point short of a season high and the fourth time this season the Knights have scored more than 65 while out-scoring opponent 351 to 40 this season.
A.J. Scarborough was 2-of-2 passing, with both tosses going for scores. He also added a pair of rushing touchdowns.
Both of Nate Meier's carries went for touchdown runs of 35 and 27 yards.
Larsen's two special teams scores came from 45 yards out on his punt return and from 74 yards on his kick off return.
The Knights finished with 328 total yards of offense.
