Jacquline Wright, 72, Glenwood

Jacquline Lea “Jackie” (Pulsifer) Wright, age 72, of Glenwood, died Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2008, at Glen Haven Home in Glenwood. Funeral services were held Saturday, Dec. 6, 2008, at Peterson Mortuary, in Glenwood. Pastor Darrell Hopp officiated. Interment was in the Glenwood Cemetery.

Mrs. Wright was born on March 25, 1936, in Fremont County, to Woodrow Justin and Eunice (Shutts) Pulsifer. She attended school in Glenwood, graduating with the class of l954. She then attended the Commerce School of Business in Omaha. On Aug. 18, 1957, she was united in marriage to Jerry Wright and to this union, three daughters and one son were born. During most of her married life, she resided in Malvern, but because of failing health returned to Glenwood to live at the Glen Haven Home.

Mrs. Wright was employed at the Glenwood Resource Center for a number of years. Her love of music was well known, especially country and gospel. She was particularly fond of the Gaithers. Other interests included traveling, square dancing, shopping, (especially for shoes), and most importantly spending time with her family. She loved to sit on the patio in the evenings and sip iced tea. Although she, herself, couldn’t swim, she made sure her kids received Red Cross lessons and life guard training. She was a faithful supporter of all her children’s sports activities. She will be remembered for her excellent pumpkin pies and baked beans and always for her devotion to her children and grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents, and husband, Jerry. Survivors include daughters: Teresa and husband, Mike Carlson of Elkhorn, Neb.; Tonya and husband, George Adams of Malvern; Tammie and husband, Robert McGrew of Emerson; and son, Woodrow and wife, Stormie Wright of Glenwood; 16 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; sisters; Joyce Cashatt of Red Oak; Jeanne Lincoln and Jeri Lynn Daniels of Glenwood; and brother, Donald “Butch” Pulsifer of Glenwood; several nieces and nephews, extended relatives and a host of friends.

Memorials may be made to the Glen Haven Home.
