Glenwood girls seventh at Clarinda Invite

    The Glenwood Girls Cross Country Team placed seventh at the Clarinda Cross Country Meet last Tuesday.
    Shenandoah-Essex was the team champion with 65 points. Griswold was second with 74 points. Glenwood was led by Carlie Cooper who finished 10th. Lizzy Young was 16th and Morgan Naughton placed 27th.
    “These top three runners on the team will need to continue to step up their performances as we are still working on the consistency with the last four runners on the varsity squad,” said Glenwood coach Brad Rasmussen. “This was an improvement from the Glenwood meet and there is still a long way to go in the season, but this is a step in the right direction for this young team.”
      Chelsea Webster placed fifth in the junior varsity race to lead Glenwood.
