Blue Devils edge East Mills, 10-7

Nishnabotna rallied from down 7-1 in the fifth inning with a seven run fifth to pull away from East Mills in a Corner Conference baseball match up Thursday.

The Wolverines (1-3 overall, 1-3 in the Corner Conference) plated three runs in the second and four more in the third and appeared to be in control until the Blue Devils exploded for seven runs to take the lead for good.
Logan Currin, Keegan Wederquist and Noah Hillyer each smacked two hits to lead East Mills. Wederquist and Hillyer each drove in two runs.

Weston Copperstone smacked his first home run of the season and drove in two runs.

Kyle Ryun took the loss on the hill for East Mills. The senior gave up three hits, three earned runs and struck out seven in 4 1/3 innings of work.

Stanton 10

The East Mills baseball team plated a run in the top of the fifth inning to pull away from a tie game and post a 11-10 win over Stanton in Corner Conference baseball last Monday.

The Wolverines were led at the plate by Keegan Wederquist and Kyle Ryun’s two hit night. Ryun doubled and drove in two runs and Wederquist added an RBI and three stolen bases.

Logan Curin drove in three runs at the plate and recorded the win on the hill, striking out 14 in 6 1/3 innings of work.

A-H-S-T rode an eight run fourth inning to a 14-2 victory over East Mills in non-conference baseball May 29.
Senior Kyle Ryun took the loss on the hill after allowing eight hits, six earned runs and striking out two in 3 1/3 innings.

Weston Copperstone, Keegan Wederquist, Dylan Schroeder and Noah Hillyer each recorded a hit for East Mills.

The East Mills baseball team lost its season-opener to rival Fremont-Mills 4-3 in May 28.
