Betty J. Lundstrom, 85, Fremont, Neb.,

    Betty J. Lundstrom, age 85, of Fremont, Neb., died Wednesday morning, Aug. 5, 2009. Memorial Services were held Monday, Aug. 10, 2009, at Sinai Lutheran Church. Rev. James Melang officiated. Interment of the cremains took place in Memorial Cemetery.

    She was born, Betty McCoy, in Ainsworth, Neb., July 18, 1924, and was raised on a farm near there graduating from Ainsworth High School. She moved to Fremont where she was employed by J.C. Penny Co. She married Stanley Lundstrom Oct. 25, 1943, at Lewiston, Mont. He died Nov. 24, 1998. Mrs. Lundstrom was employed as a secretary for the Fremont Public Schools for a number of years. She will always be remembered for her gift of mercy and kindness. She was a member of Sinai Lutheran Church and a member of the Board of the Hazel Keene Foundation.

    Survivors are three sons James Lundstrom and wife Glenda of Columbus, Neb.; Kirk Lundstrom and wife Valerie of Fremont; and Ben Lundstrom and wife Marlene of Glenwood; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

    A memorial has been established to Sinai Lutheran Church Sunday School. Dugan Funeral Chapel of Fremont was in charge of arrangements.
