Anne E. Barker, 65, Pacific Junction

Anne Elizabeth Barker, age 65, of Pacific Junction, died Dec. 14, 2008, at her home. Visitation will take place today, (Wednesday), from 7 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Peterson Mortuary in Glenwood. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Dec. 18, at 11 a.m., at St Barnabas Church in Omaha. A visitation will precede the funeral service from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the church. Rev. Robert Sceiblhofer will officiate. Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. on Dec. 18 at the Glenwood Cemetery.

Mrs. Barker was born Dec. 2, 1943, in Frederick, Md. to Philip C. and Elizabeth J. Harvey. She was raised in Frederick, relocated to Portland, Maine and returned to Frederick prior to moving to Pacific Junction. She was united in marriage to Paul A. Barker on March 6, 2004, in Tabor. She was employed as a medical transcriptionist until her retirement. She loved her pets and was an avid reader.

Preceding her in death were her parents. She is survived by her husband Paul A. Barker of Pacific Junction. Memorials may be made to St. Barnabas Church or Glenwood Public Library.
