The Summer 2009 All-Mills County Teams

Softball

IF Morgan Esary, Sr., Fremont-Mills: Third baseman led the team with 15 doubles and shared team lead with four home runs while batting .325 and driving in 35 runs.

IF *Jessica Donahue, Sr., Fremont-Mills: Led the Knights with 43 RBIs and 25 stolen bases. Also hit .396 with 10 doubles and four triples.

IF Ana VanScoy, So., Glenwood: Shortstop hit .355 with 14 doubles and 16 RBIs. Also stole nine

bases and scored 22 runs.

IF Amy Walker, Jr., East Mills: Led the Wolverines with .327 average, 10 stolen bases and 11 runs

scored.

OF Sophie Ringsdorf, Sr., Glenwood: Her nine home runs and 27 RBIs led the team while hitting .327. She added 16 stolen bases, six doubles and five triples.

OF Lynde Madison, So., Fremont-Mills: First-year starter hit .345 with 28 RBIs and shared team lead with four home runs. She also stole 19 bases and smacked seven triples.

OF Nicole Charland, Jr., Glenwood: Hit .302 with 17 RBIs and 16 doubles.

P Mindy Lorimor, So., Fremont-Mills: Righthander went 24-4 this season with 309 strikeouts and a 0.51 ERA in 164 innings. She also led the Knights with a .429 batting average and added 32 RBIs.

C Lauren Alley, Sr., Fremont-Mills: Defensive stalwart hit .240 with 13 RBIs and 30 runs scored. Also stole 10 bases.

UT Joey Bryan, Fr., Glenwood: Led the Rams with .400 average while smacking 18 doubles and six home runs and went 27-13 in the circle with school-record 214 strikeouts.

UT Gabi Sowers, Sr., East Mills: Wolverines’ senior leader hit .313 on the season.

DH Rachelle Martin, So., Glenwood: Rams’ catcher hit .378 with 14 RBIs while striking out just seven

times all season.

Baseball

IF Matt Miller, Jr., East Mills: Led team with two home runs and 15 RBIs while hitting .290.

IF Nick Wells, Jr., Glenwood: Hit .346 as Rams’ third baseman, driving in 28 runs with 10 doubles.

IF Jake Doyle, Jr., East Mills: His .442 average led team. Also scored 17 runs and stole 12 bases.

IF Grant Loeffelbein, Jr., Glenwood: Speedy infielder hit .325 and led Rams with 15 stolen bases. Also

drove in 16 runs.

OF Josh Magnussen, Sr., Glenwood: Drove in 25 runs while hitting .382 and smacking eight doubles.

OF Austin Hansen, So., Fremont-Mills: Hit .493 with 23 RBIs, two home runs and six doubles.

OF Taylor Kaufman, So., Glenwood: Led the Rams with .484 average, five home runs, eight triples and 41 RBIs. Also went 5-0 on the hill and had five saves with a 0.29 ERA and 42

strikeouts.

P Drake Ruth, So., Glenwood: Went 6-3 with 2.90 ERA while striking out 58 in 48 1/3 innings.

C Thomas Ware, Sr., Fremont-Mills: Hit .388 with 24 RBIs and nine doubles. Also stole 28 bases and scored 35 runs.

UT Bryan Harless, Jr., Glenwood: Rams’ catcher/pitcher hit .293 with two home runs and 17 RBIs. Also went 4-1 on the mound with a 2.15 ERA and 47 strikeouts in 39 innings.

UT Brandon Herrick, Sr., Fremont-Mills: Hit .378 and stole 29 bases as Knights’ lead-off hitter. Also went 6-2 on the hill with 3.33 ERA and 52 strikeouts in 48 1/3 innings.

DH *Dylan Miller, Sr., Fremont-Mills: His .513 average and 37 RBIs led the Knights. Added 22 runs and eight doubles.
