Robert L. Smiley, age 80 of Glenwood, died March 8, 2010, at his home. Visitation with the family was March 10, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Cutler-O’Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home in Council Bluffs. Family and friends met Thursday March 11, at 2:30 p.m. at the mortuary. Cortege at 3 p.m. for a graveside service in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Smiley is survived by his wife, Ella Smiley; daughters, Helen Dimon and Dick; Sara Ganske and Charles; Nancy Stivers and Rodney; son, Robert Smiley; half-sisters, Janice Nolan and Carol Heit; half-brother, David Smiley; 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. The family will direct memorials.
