Rex O. Raine, 64, Waite Park, Minn.

    Rex O. Raine, age 64, of Waite Park, Minn., died Saturday, Feb. 26, 2011, at the St. Cloud Hospital in St. Cloud, Minn.
    Memorial services were held Saturday, March 5, 2011, at Atonement Lutheran Church in St. Cloud.  Burial will be in Glenwood Municipal Cemetery, at a later date.  Funeral arrangements were made by Benson Funeral Home in St. Cloud.
    Rex was born Sept. 27, 1946, in Council Bluffs, to Ralph and Genevieve (Johnson) Raine. He married Linda Hutzel on Dec. 21, 1968, in Mason City.  Rex was employed as a senior training officer for G4S Security Company in the Twin Cities.  He was a past volunteer emergency management director for the city of Waite Park, a former part-time police officer for Waite Park and former member of the Waite Park Rescue Squad.  Rex was a firearms instructor.  He was an active member of Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts.  Rex was a lifetime member of NRA; member of American Rifle Association; Single Action Shooters Society; Crow River Rangers; Kimball Gun Club; Granite City Gun Slingers and First United Methodist Church.
    Survivors include his wife, Linda Raine of Waite Park; sons, Owen Raine of Waite Park; Adam Raine of Waite Park; daughter, Michele (Charles) Lingl of Willmar, Minn.; brother, Robert Raine of Logan; AFS brother, Eustaquio “Al” Araujo of St. Louis, Mo.; and two grandchildren, Anna and Daniel Lingl.
     He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Les Raine.
