Reeve runs at state cross country
Glenwood’s Jeff Reeve placed 97th at the Iowa State Cross Country meet on Saturday at the Lakeside Municipal Golf Course in Fort Dodge.
Reeve ran a 17:58.13. The senior placed 32nd last year.
Boone’s Chandler Austin was the individual champion with a time of 15:24.26. Teammate Albert Meier was second in 15:35.20.
Decorah placed four runners in the top 12 to take home the team title with a score of 62.
Rams just miss state bid
Jeff Reeve qualified for his third straight Iowa State Cross Country Meet but the Glenwood boys just missed qualifying as a team at the Class 3A District Meet at Atlantic on Oct. 22.
Reeve ran a 17:41 to place ninth at the district meet. The top 10 individual runners qualify for state.
Shenandoah won the district title with 54 points. Boone was second with 57 team points and Ballard third with 89. Glenwood finished with 112 points, just out of the top three. The top three teams qualify for the team portion of the state meet.
