Rams second at Rollin Dyer invite

    The Glenwood wrestling team had four champions and three other wrestlers reach the finals at the Rollin Dyer Invitational on Saturday in Atlantic.
    Johnston edged Glenwood 229.5 to 228 in the final team standings. The host Trojans were a distant third with 189.5 points.
    Sam Jameson (126 pounds), Seth Warren (132), Jesse Bendt (138) and Alex Killpack (285) all won their weight classes on the day. Jameson won the tournament’s Most Valuable Player award. The 126-pound senior is a four-time champion at the tournament named for the former Glenwood and Atlantic athletic director.

Glenwood gets pair of dual wins
    Glenwood picked up a pair of Hawkeye 10 Conference dual victories last Tuesday over Denison and Creston.
     The Rams knocked off Class 2A No. 4 ranked Creston 34-30 and defeated Denison 63-15.
    Glenwood trailed Creston 24-18 with four matches to go, but the Rams won two of the next three matches by fall before forfeiting to three-time state champion 152-pounder Jake Marlin to seal the win.
    Matt Malcom (120 pounds), Sam Jameson (126), Seth Warren (132) and Andrew Tilley (145) all won both of their dual matches.
