Rams notches sixth victory in a row

John Palmer scored 21 points to lead Glenwood to a 71-41 victory over Red Oak in Hawkeye 10 Conference boys basketball Friday in Red Oak.

The Rams (11-3 overall, 6-2 in the Hawkeye 10 Conference) got out to a 22-11 first quarter lead and pushed their lead to 42-19 by the half

“For the most part, we played four pretty good quarters and this was a good team win,” said Glenwood coach Curt Schulte. “We had 11 player score, so that’s always good to see.”

Offensively, the Rams surpassed the 70 point mark for the fifth time this season.

“We played pretty good, we did some really good things, we shot the ball pretty well, 46 percent from the field,” Schulte said. “We had 24 points in transition, so we ran the floor real well and got the ball in the paint, where we scored 44 points, which was good to see.”

Palmer led all scorers with 21 points. Zach Carr added 13 and Ryan Blum 12.
