David Philip Meisinger, 68, Plattsmouth
David Philip Meisinger, age 68, of Plattsmouth, Neb., died Monday, July 27, 2009, in Gothenburg, Neb. Funeral services were held Friday, July 31, 2009, at Fusselman-Wymore Funeral Home in Plattsmouth. Dr. Allan Wooters officiated. Private family burial took place in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Plattsmouth.
He was born Oct. 6, 1940, in Murray, Neb., to Alvin B.E. Meisinger and Clara M. Wickman. He graduated with the Plattsmouth High School Class of 1958. He married Janet Ann Friedrich on Nov. 10, 1961, at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Plattsmouth. Mr. Meisinger retired from the city of Plattsmouth Waste Water Treatment Plant as a supervisor. He belonged to the Plattsmouth Volunteer Fire Dept., Mid States Antique Tractor Club, NE Waste Water Operators Division, Plattsmouth Lodge No. 6, and he was the Lord of the King Korn Karnival.
Mr. Meisinger was preceded in Death by his parents; and mother-in-law and father-in-law. Survivors include: his wife Janet of Plattsmouth; Sons, John D. and wife Debbie of Glenwood; Dan F. and wife Mary of Gothenburg; Neb.; and Buck and wife Heather of Louisville, Neb.; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
Family suggests memorials to: Gothenburg, Neb. Fire Department, Masonic Home, donor’s choice.
