Amanda Bowley and Bryant Blackman have announced their engagement and approaching marriage.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Charles and Cindy Bowley of Malvern. She graduated from Iowa State University in 2005 through the College of Business. She’s employed with Child Serve in Johnston.
The prospective groom is the son of Harvey Blackman of Polk City and Stephanie Mussmann of Forest City. He is a 2001 graduate of NIACC and currently employed with the United States Postal Service in Des Moines.
A June 23, 2009, wedding is planned in San Diego, Calif. A reception will be held in Altoona on July 18. The couple will make their home in Altoona.
