Larry E. Malskeit, 67, Co. Bluffs

September 6, 1943  - February 5, 2011

    Larry E. Malskeit, age 67, of Council Bluffs, passed away Saturday Feb. 5, 2011, at his home after a short battle with cancer. Larry was born Sept. 6, 1943, in Omaha, to Alvin and Marjorie McCleary Malskeit, and graduated from Glenwood High School. Larry worked many years as marketing manager for Northern Natural Gas.
    He is preceded in death by his parents; wife and mother of his children Connie Jo in 1989; grandson Austin and brother Gail. Survivors include his wife Alice (Onken) Malskeit; son, Matt Malskeit and wife Amy; daughter, Kelly Allen and husband Eric all Council Bluffs; grandchildren, Jake and Mallory Allen, Morgan and Brent Malskeit; sister, Judy Nightser and husband Dick of Mineola; brother, Garry Malskeit and wife Susan of Council Bluffs; nieces and nephews.
    Visitation with family was held Monday, Feb. 7 at Cutler-O’Neill-Meyer-Woodring Bayliss Park Chapel. Funeral services were held Tuesday at Saint John’s Lutheran Church, Co. Bluffs. Interment Cedar Lawn Cemetery. Luncheon followed at Saint John’s. Family will direct memorials.
