C. Clint Goos, age 81, of Treynor

    C. Clint Goos, age 81, of Treynor, passed away March 1 at Jennie Edmundson Hospital. Visitation with the family was held March 5 at Cutler O’Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home. Funeral services were held Saturday, March 6 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Council Bluffs with Pastor Nathan Sherrill officiating. Interment was in Walnut Hill Cemetery with a lunch following at the church.

    Mr. Goos was born Aug. 8, 1928, in Council Bluffs to the late Alfred and Etta (Engel) Goos. He was raised and farmed in Keg Creek Township. On June 3, 1951, he married Betty Sell. To this union three children were born. Mr. Goos was a member of the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Council Bluffs, since 1946. He was also a member of Westfair, Iowa Farm Bureau, and the Soil Conservation Board.

    Mr. Goos is preceded in death by his parents, and one brother-in-law, Walter Leet. He is survived by his wife, Betty, of 58 years; two daughters, Kimberly and husband Jim Schnoor of Silver City; and Mara Jean and husband Kenneth Kline of Missouri Valley; one son, Todd and friend Rachel Negrete of Council Bluffs; one sister, Cleo Leet of North Platte, Neb.; one brother, Emmett and wife Janet of Treynor; nine grandchildren, Katherine and husband Kyle Hessel of Des Moines; Jamie Schnoor of Ames; Christian Goos of Ann Arbor, Mich.; Clayton Goos of Ames; Curtis Goos of Treynor; Jenny Kline of Ames; Jerome, Austin and Anita Kline, all of Missouri Valley; nieces nephews, cousins and friends.

    Memorials may be offered to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church or Treynor Fire and Rescue.
