Glenwood's RAGBRAI Logo, Theme Celebrate Loess Hills

Glenwood has announced its 2024 RAGBRAI theme.

“Loess Get It Started! Hill Yeah!”

The theme is a play on words that recognizes the significance of the Loess Hills region in the Glenwood community and the hilly terrain bicyclists will encounter in Mills County and throughout their journey across the state of Iowa in July.

Each overnight town on the RAGBRAI route is expected to select a theme for their community. The theme and logo are typically used for marketing and promotional purposes. Glenwood’s theme for 2024 was selected by the Glenwood RAGBRAI Marketing Committee. The logo was designed by marketing Committee chair Joe Edwards.

Some of the other themes on the RAGBRAI route in 2024 are “Pedal To The Pumpkin” in Red Oak (signifying the town’s large orange water tower) and “Alantipalooza – Technically It’s All Downhill From Here” in Atlantic.

Some of Glenwood’s past themes were “Rockin’ & Rollin’ In Glenwood” (2003), “The Wild Southwest – Save A Horse . . . Ride A Bike!” (2011) and “Glenwood’s Star-Spangled Sendoff – Red, Bike & Blue” (2016).

Glenwood will serve as the starting point for RAGBRAI LI on Sunday morning, July 21.
