4. Glenwood Girls Basketball
A perfect regular season that saw the Glenwood girls basketball team win the Hawkeye 10 Conference and set numerous team and individual records culminated in the school’s third ever state basketball tournament bid. The Rams reached the state semifinals before bowing out with a record of 25-1 and a ranking that peaked at No. 2 in Class 4A.
5. McIntyre Makes History
Glenwood senior Abby McIntyre made history last January by winning the school’s first state title at the Iowa Wrestling Coaches and Officials Association State Wrestling Tournament. McIntyre pinned defending champion Anika Behrends of Waverly-Shell Rock for her 132-pound title.
