Margaret F. Crafton, 83, Emerson

Margaret Fern Crafton, 83, of Emerson, passed away Oct. 24, 2011, at the Shenandoah Medical Center. Funeral services were held Friday, Oct. 28, 2011, at the Emerson United Methodist Church in Emerson with burial in the Grange Hall Cemetery near Rock Port, Mo. Memorials are suggested to Emerson United Methodist Church, Emerson Fire and Rescue, Emerson Community Club or Mills County Public Health. Mansfield-Hertz Funeral Home of Malvern was in charge of arrangements.
Margaret, one of four children of Edna Florence (Trayer) and Paul Thomas Noble, was born May 29, 1928, near Tarkio, Mo. Margaret and William Aylertt Crafton were married Jan. 3, 1947, in Troy, Kan. They made their home in Emerson, and their marriage was blessed with two sons, Dennis Boone and James Jay.
Margaret and William were married 36 years when William died Jan. 19, 1983, in Emerson. Margaret was a member of the Emerson United Methodist Church. She worked in the kitchen at the Nishna Valley School for 20 years, until her retirement.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband William Crafton; son Dennis “Boone” Crafton in 2010; sister Helen Smejdir and husband Kenneth; and brother-in-law Charles Hopkins.
Margaret is survived by her son James Crafton and his wife Beverly of La Vista, Neb.; daughter-in-law Gina Crafton of Aurora, Ill.; five grandchildren, Melissa Fabris and husband Jeffrey of Bolingbrook, Ill.; Marcus Crafton and wife Teresa of Aurora; Charles Janousek of Omaha; Carrie O’Neil and husband Eric; and April Hunter and husband Robert, all of Bellevue, Neb.; great-grandchildren, Krysta, Brittany, and JJ Fabris, Marcus Crafton Jr., Elyse Janousek, Logan and Jace Neuhofel, and Garret, Gabrielle, and Grant Hunter; sister Jean Hopkins of Shenandoah; brother William Noble and his wife Donna of Donna, Texas; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
