Laura A. Otto, age 97, of Glenwood

Laura A. Otto, age 97, of Glenwood, formerly of Seattle, Wash., died Nov. 14, 2009, at Mercy Hospital in Council Bluffs. Inurnment will be at a later date in Spokane Memorial Gardens.

    She was born Feb. 26, 1912 in Genoa, Texas, to Granville Cecil and Maude Myrtle (Coleman) McKiearnan. She was married to Glen McCurennen and they had one son, Wayne. They later divorced. On Nov. 3, 1945, she married Bud C. Otto in Grand island, Neb. She was employed in a boarding house for the mentally handicapped. She was of the Methodist faith.

    Preceding her in death were her parents; son Wayne McCurennen; and husband Bud in 2004. She is survived by her sister Myrtle Evans of Texas and one niece.
