Kuemper hands Rams conference loss

    Glenwood lost a 14-25, 25-20, 18-25, 23-25 decision to Kuemper Catholic in Hawkeye 10 Conference volleyball on Thursday.
    “We played at a higher level tonight than we did on Tuesday,” said Glenwood coach Kara Huisman. “We gave ourselves a chance to win but just didn't finish. If we continue to play at the speed we did tonight, we will continue to get better and the wins will come."
    Glenwood (6-11 overall, 0-5 in the conference) was led by Morgan Lucy with 15 kills and four blocks.
    Lexi Fisher added nine kills and Maddee Sell was 9-of-10 serving with three aces.

Atlantic 22-22-17-21-8
    The Glenwood volleyball team earned its first Hawkeye 10 Conference victory of the season last Tuesday with a 25-22, 25-22, 17-25, 21-25, 15-8 win over Atlantic.
    Glenwood was led by Morgan Lucy with 15 kills and two blocks.
    Grace Newman added 12 kills and two blocks.
    Abby Schultz was 28-of-28 serving with four aces.
    Bailey Starner had 30 assists.

Rams 2-3 at Harlan
    Glenwood finished 2-3 at the Harlan Invitational Volleyball Tournament on Sept. 24.
    In pool play, the Rams 5-10 overall, 0-4 in the Hawkeye 10 Conference) got wins over Treynor 21-17, 21-16 and Underwood 25-20, 25-18 and losses to Harlan 14-21, 14-21 and Shenandoah 15-21, 17-21 and Treynor 17-25, 25-19, 12-15 in the final match of the day.
    Morgan Lucy led the Rams with 24 kills on the day.
     Grace Newman, who was named to the all-tournament team, added 18 kills and 13 digs.
     Lexi Fisher had 12 kills, a solo block and five assist blocks.
     Bailey Starner finished with 35 assist and four aces.
     Halie Darrow 26-for-28 serving with five aces.
