Knights complete sweep of Stanton
Fremont-Mills completed a Corner Conference baseball sweep of Stanton Thursday with a 12-3 victory.
Fremont-Mills scored three runs in the first inning and piled on to their lead from there. The Knights (8-2 overall, 7-0 in the conference) scored two more in the third and four more in the fifth to take a commanding lead.
Stanton scored late, but it wasn’t enough as the Knights completed the sweep.
Brock Hansen went 2-for-3 with a run scored and an RBI. Lane Goodman meanwhile went 2-for-4 with a run scored and two RBIs.
Jason Rusten scored three runs, but was 1-for-4 with a walk. Mackenzy Lang was 1-for-4 with two runs scored. Lang got the win for the Knights, pitching all seven innings and allowing three runs (one earned) on four hits and striking out 12.

Sidney 0
Mackenzy Lang improved to 5-0 on the season on the mound and the Fremont-Mills baseball team had five hitters record at least two hits in an 11-0, five inning victory over Sidney last Tuesday.
Lang fanned seven and faced just three over the minimum in the shutout victory.
The Knights, winners of five of their last six games, got two hits each from Broc Hansen, Frank Faust, Lane Goodman, Derek Swanson and Lang. Hansen drove in three runs and Faust two.

Clarinda Academy 8
The Fremont-Mills baseball team smacked nine hits in an 18-8 victory over Clarinda Academy June 19.
Jason Rusten, Sam Phillips and Lane Goodman each recorded two hits for the Knights, Rusten drove in three runs and Goodman two.
The Knights stole a season-high 14 bases.
Broc Hansen was credited with the win, scattering three hits and no earned runs while fanning six.
