Kathleen Luella “Katie” Asmussen, 85, of Glenwood, died Sept. 3, 2010, in Glenwood. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Sept. 9, 2010, at 11 a.m. at Peterson Mortuary, Glenwood. Interment will be in the Silver City Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church, Glenwood.
She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Kenneth Asmussen of Glenwood; children, Keith and wife Dianna Asmussen of Encinitas, Calif.; Kent Asmussen of Papillion, Neb.; Kathy Jo and husband Tom Bussey of Glenwood; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson; extended relatives and a host of friends.
