Jack M. Temple, 65, Glenwood

March 29, 1946 - August 2, 2011

    Jack Melvin Temple, 65, of Glenwood, passed away peacefully Aug. 2, 2011, at Park Place in Glenwood, with his loving family by his side. A private memorial service will be held Saturday, Sept. 10, 2011, at 1 p.m. in Lake City. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Jack’s name to Park Place, 114 East Green Street, Glenwood, Iowa 51534-1902.     Jack was born March 29, 1946, in Marshalltown, the son of Kenneth and Ruth (Sears) Temple. Jack enjoyed music, especially the 1950s Rock and Roll era. He lived in Park Place and was known for his outgoing personality, sense of humor, vibrant dance moves, and always listening to music with his headphones on. Jack and his roommate Robert shared many laughs together, which will be missed by all who knew Jack throughout the facility. Jack was a huge Hawkeye fan and loved the games. The family of Jack is grateful to all of the wonderful staff at Park Place who provided excellent care and support to Jack, since 2002.  
     Jack is survived by his brother Richard Temple, of Davenport; many nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.
    Preceding Jack in death were his parents Kenneth and Ruth Temple; brothers Larry and Don Temple; and neice Sarah Temple Nessler.
