Glenwood summer food program 7.2.14

    The Summer Food Service Program is sponsored by the Glenwood Community School District and is free to all children ages 18 and under. The program will run through July 25 at the following locations and times:
    Glenwood Middle School, 400 Sivers Road. Breakfast is served 8 - 9 a.m., lunch from 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
    Kid’s Place day care, 103 Central, first floor at the Glenwood Resource Center campus. Breakfast is served 8 - 8:30 a.m., lunch from 11 - 11:45 a.m. Limited seating is available. The sites will be closed the week of June 30 - July 4.
    An adult breakfast may be purchased at a cost of $2, and an adult lunch for $3.30. Extra milk may be purchased for $.35 each. Milk and 100% fruit juice are served with every breakfast.

    Fabulous Food, Facts, and Fun! Want more free fun this summer? Come and eat your lunch, then stay to make crafts, play games, and taste yummy treats from the garden! These activities are sponsored by Glenwood’s Giving Garden and the Wellmark Community Foundation on Wednesday, July 9 from 11:15 a.m. - 12:15 p.m.

    Monday - Pizza, steamed green beans, chilled pears, sherbet cup, milk.
    Tuesday - Chicken patty on a bun, baked French fries, chilled applesauce, yogurt cup, milk.
    Wednesday - Ham and cheese sandwich, baked chips, carrots and celery, banana, milk.
