Glenwood second in triangular
Glenwood girls golf team placed second in a two team triangular meet at the Glenwood Golf Course last Tuesday.
Shenandoah placed first with a score of 214, Glenwood was second with a score of 240 and Council Bluffs Thomas Jefferson was third with a score of 258.
Medal honors went to Alex Curry from Shenandoah with a 39.
“She played well today and made several good putts and up and downs for par,” said Glenwood coach Kathy Konigsmark.
Runner-up and placing second was Thomas Jefferson's Emily Storey with a 47.
The medalist for Glenwood was Charley Arno with a 52.
“Charley is playing so well right now,” said Konigsmark. “She has consistently been our lowest golfer this season. I expect to see Charley to be shooting consistently in the low 50's to the mid- high 40's the rest of the season. She has a nice golf swing and works hard to improve her game.”
Bobi Jo Rockwell shot a 59 for Glenwood and Cassie Ford a 64. Chelsee Bird and Kylee Harms each shot 65's and Maddie Sell shot a 69.
