ENGAGEMENT

Heinz “Hap” and Deborah Patterson of Glenwood, along with Dave and Carol Fynaardt of Eddyville have announced the engagement of their children, Jennifer Danielle Patterson to Jacob Paul Fynaardt.

The bride-elect is a 2005 graduate of Glenwood High School and holds an animal science certificate from Des Moines Area Community College currently working toward a degree in veterinary technologies. She is employed as a veterinary technician at All Pets Animal Hospital and a part-time animal control officer for the Ames Police Department. Jennifer is the granddaughter of Ella Christison of Land O’ Lakes, Wis., Edwin English (deceased) of Sacramento, Calif., Marion “Pat” Patterson of North Highlands, Calif., and Margot Patterson (deceased).

Her fiance is a 2002 graduate of Eddyville-Blakesburg High School and a 2004 graduate of Kirkville Community College with an AAS of Beef Production. Jacob is a full-time farmer and a graduate of the World Wide College of Auctioneering working for Sinnif Auction Service of Fremont. He’s the grandson of Henry and Delores Fynaardt of Eddyville and Charles and Barbara Dial of Des Moines.

A June 6 wedding is planned at the Memorial Lutheran Church in Ames.
