Duane Paul Nimmo, 57, Story City

    Duane Paul Nimmo, 57, of Story City, died on Sunday morning, July 26, 2009, at the Bethany Life Communities. Graveside services were held at Newton Union Cemetery on Thursday, July 30, 2009.

    Mr. Nimmo was born July 14, 1952, to Ray Cleo Nimmo and Cleo Hazel (Messick) Nimmo, in Newton.  He proudly worked many years for Sauer Danfoss, in the Ames and Story County Work Activity Center.  He loved Iowa State football, dancing, traveling and country music.

    He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Kenneth Nimmo and Keith Nimmo. Those left to honor his memory include his brothers:  John Nimmo of Boone; Joe Nimmo of St. Charles, Ill.; and Alan Nimmo of Chicago, Ill.; his sister Phyllis Marsh of Annapolis, Md.; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many loving friends.

    In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name are suggested to Willowbrook Adult Day Care Center, or to the charity of your choice. Pence-Reese Funeral Home in Newton handled the arrangements.
