Dorothy A. Roenfeldt, 98, Glenwood

February 16, 1913 - October 30, 2011

    Dorothy Alvena Roenfeldt, 98, of Glenwood, passed away Oct. 30, 2011, in Glenwood. Visitation will be held Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2011, from 6:30 - 8 p.m. at Peterson Mortuary in Glenwood. Funeral services will be Thursday, Nov. 3, 2011, at 10:30 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church in Mineola.  Rev. Stephany Sanborn will officiate. Interment will be in the Mineola Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. John Lutheran Church, Glenwood Fire & Rescue or Glen Haven Home. Peterson Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
    Dorothy was born Feb. 16, 1913, in Mineola to Elmer and Ida (Mass) Deitchler. Dorothy was united in marriage to Paul Rudolph Roenfeldt  March 30, 1932, in Mineola. To this union three daughters were born, Marlene, Eloise and Karen.
    Dorothy enjoyed being a homemaker and took good care of her family. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, working in her yard, bowling and playing pitch. Dorothy was also a talented seamstress. She was a 4-H Leader and was a member of St. John Lutheran Church as well as Ladies Aid.
    Preceding Dorothy in death were her parents, husband Paul, two brothers and two son-in-laws. She is survived by her daughters, Marlene Sell, Eloise Wright, Karen and husband Eldon Smith all of Glenwood; seven grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, seven great-great grandchildren; extended relatives and many friends.
