Anna M. Terry, 92, Glenwood

January 9, 1919 - March 2, 2011

    Anna “Margaret” (Wiles) Terry, 92, of Glenwood, entered into eternal rest  March 2, 2011, at Glen Haven Home in Glenwood. Funeral services were held Friday, March 4, 2011, at Peterson Mortuary in Glenwood. Pastor Darrell Hopp officiated. Interment was in the Glenwood Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the First Congregational U.C.C. Building Fund.
    She was born Jan. 9, 1919, in Plattsmouth, Neb., to Ray and Edith (Dean) Wiles. She graduated from Plattsmouth High School in 1936 and attended college at Peru State Teachers College.
    She moved with her family to their homestead south of Glenwood, where she met Morris Terry at a RYP meeting. They were united in marriage March 31, 1940, in Glenwood. To this union, seven children were born and they resided on a farm in Henderson, for many years. Margaret was active in helping the children with school activities and served as a 4-H Leader and Sunday school teacher along with many other things through the years. In 1959, they moved to the Dean family homestead south of Glenwood. After the children were grown, Margaret went back to attend college classes at Metro Community College in Omaha.
    Margaret was a member of the First Congregational U.C.C. and a member of the Glenwood Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution.
    Her hobbies included writing, reading, sewing, painting, quilting, gardening and many other interests. Traveling was an important part of her life. She and Morris went to Europe, Alaska and went south for the winter in their camper for several years.
    Preceding Margaret in death were her parents, husband Morris Terry in 2006, sisters, Mary Lois Vilas, Elizabeth Henderson and Florence Sickler. She is survived by her children, Nancy (Dyle) Downing of Glenwood; Morris Dean Terry of Glenwood; Rosalie (John) Babiarz of Grafton, N.H.; Dolores (Larry) Hogya of Omaha, Neb.; Edith Emilie (Marcus) Adair of Omaha; Richard (Patrice) Terry of Glenwood; and Ray (Carol) Terry of Glenwood; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, extended relatives and a host of friends.
