Alice Mae (Haecke) Hoffman, 86, of Glenwood, entered into eternal rest on May 10, 2010, at her home in Glenwood. Funeral services were held Saturday, May 15, 2010, at Peterson Mortuary, in Glenwood. Bishop James Saufley officiated. Interment was in the East Liberty Cemetery in rural Malvern.
Alice was born March 29, 1924, in Omaha, Neb., to Harry B. and Irma Leah (Christensen) Haecke. She faithfully served her country in the Marines during World War II from 1944-46. She was united in marriage to Milton George Hoffman, Jr. on June 27, 1948, in Omaha. To this union three sons were born, Milton George Hoffman, III, Harry B. Hoffman and Richard Allen Hoffman.
Alice was employed with Abraham Lincoln High School in the food service bakery. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Glenwood.
Preceding her in death were her parents and husband, Milton in 1992. She is survived by her children, Milton George Hoffman, III of Glenwood; Harry B. and wife Bertha Hoffman of Omaha; Richard Allen and wife Pansie Hoffman of Cumberland; five grandchildren, Jennifer, Daniel, Vicki, Sylvia and Trenda; seven great-grandchildren, Taylor, Madeline, Daniel, Nicholas, Joshua, Kendall and Trey; sister, Jean Adams of Lakewood, Calif.; extended relatives and a host of friends.
A memorial fund has been established.
