Abrams, Rams win Harlan invite

    Mark Abrams was first and James Fuller was fourth for the Glenwood cross country team as the Rams edged Council Bluffs Thomas Jefferson at the Harlan Invite on Saturday.
    Abrams’ time of 16:56 was five seconds ahead of Fuller.
    Glenwood finished with 51 points to T.J.’s 52 points.
    Jeff Reeve added a sixth place finish for Glenwood.
    Brady Wheeler was 16th and Pascal Oosterik, in his varsity debut, rounded out the scoring for the Rams by finishing 24th.
    The Ram junior varsity, paced by Baker Cambridge’s fourth place showing, won their meet with 29 team points. Two seconds separated fifth place Cuentin Gray, sixth place Daniel Leu and seventh place Ryan Leu. Giles Allan was 12th to complete the Rams’ scoring.
    Kobe Rhodes won his third individual championship to pace the Ram middle school squad.

Rams first at Creston
    The Glenwood boys cross country team placed three runners in the top 10 to take home the team title at the Creston Invitational Tuesday.
    The Rams edged Council Bluffs Thomas Jefferson 42 to 68 in the team scoring. Shenandoah was third with 87 team points.
    The Ram’s Mark Abrams topped the boys standing with a time of 17:10. Abrams’ time was 19 seconds better than second place Sean Skillern of Shenandoah.
    Jeff Reeve was third (17:46) and Brady Wheeler sixth (17:57) for Glenwood.
