  • Glenwood boys soccer 1-2 at...

        The Glenwood boys soccer team dominated Clear Lake 6-1 before dropping its final two matches against ranked opponents at the Waverly-Shell Rock Tournament on Saturday.
        The Rams came out on fire against Clear Lake and controlled throughout.

  • Rams eighth at Atlantic

        The Glenwood girls placed eighth at the Atlantic Invitational Golf Tournament on Thursday.
        The host Trojans were the meet champions with a score of 351. Atlantic had the tournament’s top four medal winners with Bailey Walter taking home top honors with a round of 85.
        Glenwood finished with a score of 467. Maddee Sell led the Rams with a round of 104.
        Adria Skarnulis shot a 116 with Briana Overhue carding a 121 and McKenna Henze a 126.

        The Glenwood girls tennis team defeated Clarinda in Hawkeye 10 Conference tennis play on May 5.

        The Glenwood girls lost a 3-1 shootout to North Scott in a 2-1 decision at the A-D-M Invitational Soccer Tournament last weekend.
        The Rams (9-1) were deadlocked at 1-1 with North Scott after regulation and two overtimes leading to the shootout in the tournament’s final game.

  • A-H-S-T’s Faust will coach...

        Cory Faust is Glenwood Community High School’s new football coach.
        Faust, who was offered the  Glenwood job last week and accepted, takes over for Brian Albert who resigned April 11. Faust will also teach math at the high school. He comes to Glenwood after nine seasons as head coach at A-H-S-T High School in Avoca.

        MALVERN - The East Mills boys won eight gold medals along with seven silver medals to win its own Wolverine Relays last Tuesday in Malvern.

         For what is believed to be the first time in school history,  the Glenwood girls and boys track teams swept the team titles at the Co-Ed Ram Relays.

        Michaela Moore scored four goals and the Glenwood girls soccer team improved to 4-0 on the season with a 5-1 victory over Harlan in Hawkeye 10 Conference soccer on Friday.

  • Rain dampens Rams at Sioux City...

        In a meet shortened by lightning and potential serious weather approaching, the Glenwood boys track team was able to get through just nine of 15 events at the Sioux City Relays on Saturday at Morningside College. 

        The Rams got gold medals from Derek Jones in the 400-meter low hurdles and from their shuttle hurdle relay team of Sam Jameson, Dane Kruse, Kyle Bowden and Mitch Bowden.  In all, Glenwood placed in five of the nine events.
