        A year of troubles behind it, the Glenwood Golf Course is open and looking to a strong future with new turf and clubhouse management at the 48-year old golf course.
        The Glenwood course opened officially on April 15, following a two-week delay to get the course in playing shape. New turf superintendent Ben Starkel spent most of the spring getting the course in shape and, hopefully, preventing a repeat of last year’s problems.

        The Glenwood boys track team won eight gold medals and set a pair of meet records at the Red Oak Tiger Relays on Thursday.
        Glenwood easily out-paced second place Fremont-Mills 153 to 81 in the team standings.
        “This was a meet in which we were able to back off some of our athletes to help prepare them for the conference and district  meet.  Along with that, it was an opportunity to tweak some things that need to be done,” said Glenwood coach Mark Starner.
