Glenwood Homecoming Parade Theme Announced

“Mills County History” has been selected as the theme for Glenwood’s 2022 homecoming parade.

Earlier this year, homecoming  was moved to Sept. 9 -10 after originally being scheduled for later in September.

The move was necessitated by a late change in the Glenwood football schedule. Des Moines Hoover, who was originally slated to be the Rams’ homecoming opponent on Sept. 23, cancelled its 2022 football season due to low numbers.

The Rams will now face Council Bluffs Abraham Lincoln for homecoming on Friday, Sept. 9. The parade is traditionally held on Friday afternoon.

The Sept. 9-10 homecoming dates are believed to be the earliest ever for the Rams.
