Glenwood Girls Second At Shen

The Glenwood girls placed all five of its scorers in the top 20, including two runners in the top 10, to place second over at the Shenandoah Invitational Cross Country Meet Thursday.

The Ram girls finished with 59 team points, just two points short of the host Fillies’ top point total of 57.

Atlantic’s Tiffany Williams was the top medal winner with a time of 19:38.36. Kye Madsen of Council Bluffs Lewis Central was second followed by Glenwood’s Aubrey McIntyre and her time of 20:35.60.
The Rams’ Kate Kaufman was fifth in 20:54.21. Also placing for the Glenwood girls was Jillian Finnegan (15th), Nikki Schuppan (16th) and Lacey Jackson (20th).

The Glenwood boys placed seventh as a team led by Parson Covington’s 14th place time of 18:12.50.

The Rams were without head coach Todd Peverill who is recovering from by-pass surgery early last week. The team was coached in the meet by Peverill’s wife and assistant coach, Lu during his absence.

Also placing for the Ram boys was Ethan Thompson (33rd), Victor Salerno (34th), Andrew Mullennax (38th) and Conrad Millar (48th).
