Wolverines sweep South Page in regular-season finale

    In its last Corner Conference match of the season, the East Mills volleyball team swept South Page 25-9, 25-12, 25-15 on Thursday.
    “We served 92 percent for the night, racked up 19 aces, and our hitting was positive,” said East Mills coach Connie Blank. “It was great to finish the regular season with a win which will give us a boost as we begin regional tournament play next week.”
    Amanda Bazer recorded six kills and served 14-for-15 with nine aces.  
    Amy Walker had five kills, four assists, and four digs.  Jordan Jennings served a perfect 13-for-13 from the line with an ace and added three kills and five digs.  
    Zoe Frink led the offense with nine assists and added four kills, four digs, and two aces.              Chelsey Christensen served 10-for-10 with 2 aces.
    East Mills (2-19 overall, 2-6 in the conference) plays at Fremont-Mills on Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the opening round of Class 1A Regionals.
