The Glenwood Community School District Board of Directors has approved a five-year extension of a levy that has brought in more than $700,000 annually for curriculum improvements in the district.

The board approved the extension at a special meeting July 29. The Instructional Support Levy (ISL) was initially approved by district voters in January of 2011 for a 10-year term. While that term isn’t up until 2021, Glenwood Superintendent Devin Embray said the board decided to renew the levy now due to timing.
