Knights earn comeback win

    The Fremont-Mills baseball team scored three runs in the top of the seventh inning to complete a comeback, 4-2 victory over Essex on Friday.
    Junior Seth Phillips keyed the rally with a two-run double in the seventh.
    Clayton Wilson threw a complete-game, striking out  a career-high 15 and scattering three hits. Wilson also helped his own cause at the plate going 2-for-3 and belting his first homerun of the season.
    Chase McCollum added two hits for the Knights who improve to 4-2 on the season overall and 3-1 in the Corner Conference.

Clarinda Academy 3
    Mackenzy Lang earned the win on the hill and drove in two runs for Fremont-Mills in a 18-3 victory over Clarinda Academy in four innings last Tuesday.
    Lang struck out nine, walked just one and allowed three hits in the victory for the Knights (3-2 overall, 3-0 in the Corner Conference).
    Corey Morrical, Clayton Wilson, and Chase McCollum all drove in two runs each.

    Austin Switzer and Clayton Wilson led a lethal Fremont-Mills attack to an 18-3 victory over Stanton on May 24.
    Switzer had two hits and drove in the runs while Wilson had a pair of hits and three RBIs.
    James Hill doubled in two runs.
    Switzer earned the win on the mound tossing three innings and allowing two hits and three earned runs.
