'The Elpis Orb' Was Filmed In Mills County

The Davies Amphitheater, Frontline Church and LTD-Leadership Through Drama, Inc., are teaming up to present “Family Movie Night at the Davies Amphitheater” Saturday, July 20.

The free evening of entertainment will include a showing of the LTD film “The Elpis Orb” and movie-themed activities and games beginning at 7:45 p.m. on the lawn east of the amphitheater.
Dan Hardcastle of the Frontline church said he’s hopeful the movie night will be the first of many in Glenwood.

“The Elpis Orb” will begin on the big rear screen projection system in the Amphitheater at dusk (about 9 p.m.).
“The Elpis Orb” is the locally-produced family, fantasy adventure by LTD Productions.
The movie was shot in Mills County and Omaha and features 50 actors from Mills County and the surrounding area. The siastic responses from audiences since its 2012 release.
 “If you haven’t seen the movie, this is a great opportunity to share it with family and friends,” LTD spokesman Ron Hines said. “If you have seen it, what a great opportunity to experience it on the big screen again. It brings back wonderful memories of drive-in movie theaters and side of the barn outdoor movies of the past.”
