The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation, with the help of several other agencies, has positively identified the body that was pulled from the Missouri River in southwestern Mills County on July 1.

The male body was located in the area of Lincoln’s Landing campground near the Plattsmouth Bridge.

Through cooperative effort of the Mills County Sheriff’s Office, Douglas County (Neb.) Coroner’s Office, Dr. John Filippi DDS D-ABFO, and the staff at Jennie Edmundson Hospital, the body of a missing person found in the Missouri River was positively identified as 49 year old Robert T. Jensen of Council Bluffs.

Family members of Jensen called after reading the descriptions of the tattoos located on the body. Visual confirmation of the tattoos was then made by family members.
