        Fremont-Mills overcame five turnovers to down Lenox 42-18 in the Eight-Man, District 1 regular season final for both teams.
        The Knights (8-1 overall, 6-1 in the district) got 191 yards rushing and three touchdowns from Clayton Wilson. Wilson also completed two passes for 70 yards and a touchdown.
        Austin Switzer was 2-of-6 passing for 61 yards and a touchdown toss.

  • Rams get pair of Hawk-10 wins

        Emily Blum smacked 11 kills and Grace Newman six for Glenwood in a 25-14, 25-16, 25-23 sweep of Denison on Thursday.
        As a team, the Rams (13-12 overall, 3-4 in the Hawkeye 10 Conference) had 23 kills in the win.

  • Creston gets defensive in win...

        A tough Creston defensive effort limited Glenwood to just 193 total yards in a 14-0 loss on Friday at Ram Memorial Field.

  • Stanton downs FM in Corner...

        Stanton downed Fremont-Mills 25-17, 25-19, 25-16 in the second round of the Corner Conference tournament last Tuesday.
        Taryn Williams led the Knights (13-5 overall, 5-1 in the conference) with 10 kills. Madison Powers added six kills and Macy Williams five.
        Kendall Fichter had 18 assists.

        The Fremont-Mills volleyball team defeated Sidney 25-15, 25-17, 25-23 in the Corner Conference tournament opening round last Monday.

  • Ram harriers first at South...

        The Glenwood boys cross country team swept the team and individual titles for both the varsity and junior varsity at the South Central Calhoun Invitational in Lake City last Tuesday.
        The Glenwood varsity boys scored 42 points to edge Woodward Academy’s 87 points and take home the team trophy.
        James Fuller was the top individual finisher with a time of 17:25.41.

  • Glenwood girls 12th at Atlantic...

        The Glenwood girls placed 12th at the Atlantic Invitational Cross Country Meet on Thursday at the Nishna Hills Golf Club.
        Harlan easily out-distanced second place Shenandoah 67 to 112 in the team scoring.
        Glenwood’s 315 points trailed 11th place Atlantic by 23 points.
        Natalie Shearer was the top finisher for Glenwood, placing 52nd with a time of 17:27.34. Teammate Sarah Homan was just .56 behind in 53rd place.

  • Wolverines held to season-low...

        The East Mills football team dropped its third straight game on Friday with a 24-10 setback to A-H-S-T.
        The Wolverines (3-4 overall, 2-3 in the district) trailed 17-0 at the half as they struggled to move the ball against the aggressive Viking defense. East Mills finished with a season-low 111 total yards, including 37 yards rushing on 30 attempts.

  • F-M downs Nishnabotna, 68-6

        A week after seeing its 16-game winning streak snapped, Fremont-Mills bounced back for a 68-6 victory over Nishnabotna on Friday.
        Fremont-Mills racked up 381 yards, including 316 on the ground, in the win.
        Mackenzie Lang rushed four times for 87 yards and a touchdown. The sophomore added a TD reception and picked off two passes on defense, returning one for a 35-yard touchdown.
